Welcome

This 2011 the Glengarry Pipe Band invites you to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary year. Based in Maxville Ontario, home of the Glengarry Highland Games and The North American Pipe Band Championships, we can be seen competing in Canada, the U.S., and overseas and also perform at local charitable events, community functions, and parades.

The Grade 4 band is led by Pipe Major Ross Davison with lead drummer Jim Bush. If you are a piper or drummer come and join the most progressive pipe band between Toronto and the Maritimes. We strive to accomplish the best in music and to foster a friendly competitive spirit and community involvement in our youth.

What's New

Glengarry and Ottawa Police combine Grade 2 bands

In order to build a stronger presence in Eastern Ontario the Glengarry Grade 2 band has merged with the Ottawa Police Pipe Band under the direction of PM Andrew Hayes. We wish all our former bandmates great success in what should prove to be a band worth watching in the upcoming 2012 season. Details of the merge can be found on Pipes Drums.

Thanks to everyone who helped make our 50th Anniversary a great time for all our alumni. We hope to see everyone again at our centennial celebrations....

A Great First Year for our Grade V Band

Last August 21 the Glengarry Grade 5 band competed for the first time at the Almonte Highland Games and placed 3rd in a field of seven. This year, in it's first full season of competition the band amassed a total of 2 firsts, 3 seconds (including a 2nd at the North American Championships), 2 thirds and a 4th, with many firsts in piping and drumming throughout. Congratulations to the band and big thank you to Pipe Major Ross Davison and Lead drummer Jim Bush for all their hard work. The band will be advancing to compete at the Grade IV level in 2012.
