Welcome

Based in Maxville Ontario, home of the Glengarry Highland Games and The North American Pipe Band Championships, the Glengarry Pipe Band can be seen competing in Canada, the U.S., and overseas and also performing at local charitable events, community functions, and parades.

The Grade 4 band is led by Pipe Major Ross Davison with lead drummer Jim Bush. If you are a piper or drummer come and join the most progressive pipe band between Toronto and the Maritimes. We strive to accomplish the best in music and to foster a friendly competitive spirit and community involvement in our youth.

What's New

A Hot 2012 Season For Glengarry

The 2012 season came to end in Almonte August 25th with a second place finish for the band. The year's highlights included a 2nd place finish in Maxville at the North American Championships, several wins including the Nova Scotia championships in Antigonish Nova Scotia and an East Coast road trip to the College of Piping in Summerside PEI. Congratulations to everyone for a great season and a special thanks to PM Ross Davison, lead tip Jim Bush, Shelby MacCrimmon, and PS Jason Baird for all their hard work. Look for the band in upcoming months as fundraising begins in earnest for Glengarry's return to the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow in August 2013.

Strong Performances at Both Georgetown and Smiths Falls Highland Games

While the Glengarry winning streak came to an end at Georgetown, the band continues to post solid results with a 4th in a field of 13 at Georgetown and 2nd place finish at Smiths Falls. The band looks to keep improving as the summer progresses with a week long "boot camp" at the PEI School of Piping this July.

Winning Streak Continues at Kingston Celtfest

The 2012 season continued on a perfect summers day at the Kingston Celtfest with a win for the band in the Grade IV medley contest, where they placed 1, 1, 2 and 1 amongst the four ensemble judges. Next stop for the band is Georgtown on June 9th in the Quick March Medley competition.
